Title: Neutrinos as the key to the Universe as we know it

Speaker: Prof. Yuval Grossman (Cornell University, USA)

Date: 30 June, 2023

Time: 11:00 (GMT+2)

Zoom Meeting ID: 824 6739 9094

Passcode: 083976

Abstract:

There are three open questions in physics that seem unrelated: Why is there only matter around us? How do neutrinos acquire their tiny masses? Why do all particles in Nature have integer electric charges? It turns out that these open questions are related. In this talk, I will explain these open questions, the connection between them, and describe the ongoing theoretical and experimental efforts in understanding them.

Lectures will take place in the seminar room of the ICTP-EAIFR, located on the top floor of the Einstein Block, Nyarugenge Campus, University of Rwanda, and can be attended remotely via Zoom.
