Research and Training Fellowships
ICTP-EAIFR is pleased to announce that it is a participating institute in a fellowship programme funded by The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) that is now accepting applications.
TWAS Fellowships for Research and Advanced Training are for young scientists in developing countries to enable them to spend three to 12 months at a research institution in a developing country other than their own. The purpose of these fellowships is to enhance the research capacity of promising scientists, especially those at the beginning of their research career, helping them to foster links for further collaboration.
Eligible applicants for the fellowships are young scientists holding at least an MSc or equivalent degree, are working in any area of natural sciences, are citizens of a developing country, and are employed by a research institution in a developing country.
More details about the fellowships, including how to apply, are here. The application deadline is 1 October 2020.
ICTP-EAIFR offers teaching and research in condensed matter physics, geophysics and particle physics and cosmology. TWAS fellowship applicants interested in spending time at ICTP-EAIFR should first contact researchers at the institute to determine areas of common interest. They can be reached at info@eaifr.org.
